Dual-Band Wi-Fi 4 + BLE 5.0 for IoT and End Devices

Built around the RTL8721DM SoC from Realtek, this Wi-Fi + BT Module offers single-stream 802.11n + BT5 (and BT Mesh) functionality. The 2.4 / 5 GHz Wi-Fi and BT Wireless MCU is a dual-core solution featuring two Armv8-M Cortex based CPUs. One is a Cortex-M33 based processor running at 200 MHz. The other is a Cortex-M23 based processor running at 20 MHz. SoC shutdown and MCU deep-sleep modes minimize current consumption to achieve maximum battery life. On-board 2 / 8 MB Flash and 512 kB SRAM, combined with execute-in-place (XIP) capability, allow room for user application code and OTA updates. Cloud connectivity, provisioning, fast connect, and OTA firmware updates are available for fast IoT development. The high-end radio, coupled with the optimized embedded antenna, deliver broad coverage and long-range BT + Wi-Fi connections in noisy and physically challenging environments.
