Built around the K32W061 from NXP, the CMP53x delivers ultra-low power, high performance for Zigbee 3.0, Thread, Matter, and BLE applications. Offering simultaneous 802.15.4 and BLE connectivity, the CMP53x modules are ideal for applications requiring flexibility in implementing both wireless technologies. With 640 kB of executable flash and 152 kB RAM, the CMP53x can host the end-user application. An optional 1 MB of additional flash offers integrated OTA FW support. Offering a wide variety of peripherals, the CMP53x simplifies the design of many network end-devices. The modules wireless was designed to provide long range Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Thread/Matter communication. Additionally, the solution offers very low power consumption in sleep, Rx, and Tx modes, making it suitable for low-power device types. Integrated NFC tag functionality offers the easiest, and most secure, method for pairing and provisioning wireless nodes to your network. The module is well supported with an evaluation board that plugs into the NXP development kit. Whether it’s for Bluetooth (BLE GATT and Standard Service examples, custom profiles like OTA firmware or wireless UART), Zigbee (Meshing, home automation), or Thread/Matter (lighting), numerous examples are provided, along with source code for fast development.
